The Scriptures are where we find the word of God. We read that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that prceeds from the mouth of God.
The word of God is living and active sharper than a two edged sword. The word also became flesh and dwelt amongst us. The word is God, the word lives and God's word will transorm us by the working of the Holy Spirit.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ  have put their faith in Him, to save them, to live to please God, becuase that't what Christ does. Hence we read "it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me." Salvation is a process, it began when God by the working of the Holy Spirit convited us of sin. The consequence of sin is death. To recieve new life we must be born again. John 3. Salvation is finalised when Christ returns and we are transformed into His likeness. 1Cor 15
To come to faith and believe one must hear the word of God. This doesn't mean that if we havn't heard every word of God that we won't come to faith in Jesus Christ, that a person will never be saved. It means that the Godspel (the good news) must be the starting place. I say this because I gurantee that after many years of being a Christian there are many things in God's word that we don't understand BUT they are revealed to us as we grow in the knowledge of God and so much studying will be required but unless the Holy Sprit makes known to you the meaning of the inspired word, so that onse life is changed then, the scriptures will seem as words on a page.  But nevertheless study and seek God in Christ, with the intent of knowing Him more and He will certainly make his face to shine upon you. This is abiding, this is fellowship. 

Christian must be a disciples. A disciple is as a pupil,  who must be under the instruction of God word. Regular study of God's word and discipleship from mature believers will mature and equipped Christians for service.  We won't know everything at once regarding the meaning of scripture, we all start somewhere although there are some elementary things we should know. (Heb 6:1-2). 
Furthermore we read that teachers are more accountable and few should seek to be so one. James 3:1. So anything I or for that matter any christian teaches right or wrong, are going to be accountable to the Lord. So please check out what I am saying by the word of God (be Berean Acts 17:11) and be kind enough to tell me if you have a problem with anything you read and bring correction to me as it will help further the gospel.
